10,000 from 692 million.
10,000 weekly actionable alerts surfaced from 692 million raw events. Signal extraction across global operations.
One decision surface across Oil, Gas, Solar, and maritime. 692 million raw events filtered down to 10,000 weekly actionable alerts. The platform's value is the signal extraction, not the volume processed.
The challenge
What the operator was trying to fix.
- Disparate IoT devices, internal systems, and external feeds producing fragmented operational views across global assets. No single decision surface for compliance, governance, safety, environmental protection, or social sustainability.
- High-stakes operations across Oil, Gas, Solar, and maritime requiring both real-time alerting and predictive modelling on the same platform.
- Globally distributed workforce and asset base, including maritime, where a single missed signal can trigger a regulatory, safety, or reputational incident.

Narrative
The platform’s value is signal extraction, not volume processed. From 692 million raw events ingested in a three-month window, the operator received 10,000 actionable alerts per week and 119 surfaced social media alerts. Six orders of magnitude of filtration, on a single decision surface, across Oil, Gas, Solar, and maritime operations.
The client is a leading international energy operator with a portfolio spanning Oil, Gas, and Solar assets across multiple regions. The brief was unusual in its breadth: situational awareness across operational, social, environmental, and security dimensions, on a single platform, with both real-time alerting and predictive analytics. Without a unified decision surface, the operator could either read every feed and act on too few, or act on the wrong ones. Either failure mode is expensive at this scale.
Affectli was deployed in its Mi-Fusion configuration. Mi-Fusion extends the standard Affectli operational intelligence stack with predictive risk modelling, integrated incident management, and open-source social media monitoring with sentiment analysis. The deployment integrates the operator’s IoT devices, disparate operational systems, and external data sources into a single global view.
The figures cover a three-month measurement window. 692 million social media monitoring events processed and distilled into 119 actionable social media alerts: one signal in every 5.8 million events. 22,615 maritime vessels tracked in support of asset and supply-chain visibility. 2,649 predictive alerts surfaced per day on average and 10,000 weekly incident alerts across the global operation. 3,532 specific incidents reported (gang activity, crime, fire, and similar). 40 health, unrest, and travel alerts in the period, supporting workforce safety and movement decisions.
The dollar value of risk avoided is not in scope of this measurement window. The funnel ratios are. The case is illustrative of what Affectli does when the operator’s challenge is not the volume of data but the absence of a single decision surface for operational, security, and reputational risk.
